The driving force is desire and not duty. <\/strong><\/p>\r\n\t<p>I Plant et Fr\u00f8 l\u00e6gger vi v\u00e6gt p\u00e5, at b\u00f8rn f\u00e5r rig mulighed for at l\u00e6re via egne erfaringer i et sanseligt milj\u00f8 med inspiration fra mesterl\u00e6ren. Milj\u00f8et er et autentisk og aktivt landbrug, hvor eleverne f\u00e5r mulighed for at g\u00e5 i fodsporene p\u00e5 de mennesker, der til daglig har deres praksis p\u00e5 stedet. Undervejs oplever eleverne, hvordan et lille fr\u00f8 er en levende organisme, som kan forvandle sig til en hvedeplante, en r\u00f8dbede eller et gr\u00e6skar. De erfarer, at man ikke kan skynde p\u00e5 naturen. De l\u00e6rer, hvordan planterne skal vandes, n\u00e6res og passes omsorgsfuldt &#8211; for kun n\u00e5r de f\u00e5r de rette betingelser kan de vokse og gro.<\/p>\r\n<p>Plant et Fr\u00f8 kombinerer praksisn\u00e6r undervisning i naturdannelse og konkrete naturvidenskabelige v\u00e6rkt\u00f8jer, f\u00e6rdigheder og forst\u00e5elser med tr\u00e6ning i n\u00e6rv\u00e6r og humanistiske indsigter om, hvad det vil sige at v\u00e6re menneske og indg\u00e5 i f\u00e6llesskaber. Efter et forl\u00f8b p\u00e5 21 uger &#8211; med 1 bes\u00f8g om ugen &#8211; kan b\u00f8rnene b\u00e5de h\u00f8ste nye fr\u00f8 og mere mod til at tro p\u00e5 egne evner og ideer. Det lange forl\u00f8b giver ogs\u00e5 plads til fordybelse og opbygning af gode og trygge relationer til kammeraterne i klassen og de voksne der f\u00f8lger b\u00f8rnene.<\/p>\r\n<p>The teaching takes place at the food producer Vibevadgaard close to Lejre town. It is a collaboration between the teachers from the participating schools and the teachers from Plant a Seed.<\/p>\r\n<strong>The pedagogical framework<br \/>\r\n<\/strong>\r\n<p>The educational framework in Plant a Seed focuses on learning by practice, skilled teaching and the students' own motivation. We work on two pathways -  personal inner nature and Nature itself.  There is focus on forming a relationship between the two.<\/p>\r\n<p>M\u00e5let er, at b\u00f8rn tidligt skal opleve succes med selv at s\u00e6tte et direkte aftryk og skabe forandring og nye muligheder for en mere b\u00e6redygtig verden, og tr\u00e6ne evnen til at danne gode, st\u00e6rke f\u00e6llesskaber. Vi fors\u00f8ger at n\u00e6re en indre motivation i b\u00f8rnene og en lyst til passe p\u00e5 naturen og forst\u00e5 sig selv som del af et st\u00f8rre f\u00e6llesskab. Igennem forl\u00f8bet har vi et s\u00e6rligt fokus p\u00e5 b\u00f8rnenes trivsel gennem relationsdannelse. Eleverne oplever, hvad det vil sige at samarbejde &#8211; ogs\u00e5 med dem, man ikke plejer at danne gruppe med.<\/p>\r\n<p>Undervisningen og aktiviteterne er tilrettelagt med udgangspunkt i to overordnede spor; at skabe relation til den ydre natur &#8211; og barnets indre natur. De to intentioner fletter sig ind og ud af hinanden i l\u00f8bet af de 21 uger og kommer til udtryk gennem forskellige aktiviteter i l\u00f8bet af undervisningsdagen.<\/p>\r\n<p>On the farm, we have access to several different learning rooms: the field; the meadow and the forest form the nature setting for both cultivation, experimentation and cooking. The forest room, with stumps around the campfire, is where the teaching day always begins and ends. In the large yoga tent, students practise self awareness and relationships through play, movement and exercises inspired by yoga and mindfulness. We also have access to the farm's natural materials laboratory, which forms the framework for natural science experiments. In the laboratory, students experiment  using flasks, pipettes and test tubes. The small experiments can be, for example, investigating what a berry consists of or how to extract colour from flowers.<\/p>\r\n<p>Undervisningen f\u00f8lger \u00c5rshjulet &#8211; fra april til oktober &#8211; der skaber en naturlig ramme for aktiviteterne og retter et fokus mod naturens cykliske forandringsprocesser.<\/p>\r\n<h2>\r\n\t\tThe teaching process in brief \r\n\t<\/h2>\r\n\t<p>Et forl\u00f8b i Plant et Fr\u00f8 str\u00e6kker sig over 21 uger med et 3-timers bes\u00f8g hver uge. Undervejs kommer eleverne til at arbejde med b\u00e5de den ydre og indre natur. De dyrker afgr\u00f8der i haverne og samskaber med naturen n\u00e5r der laves mad over b\u00e5l samt eksperimenteres med plantefarve og jordens mikroliv. Og de arbejder med at skabe ro og relationer gennem n\u00e6rv\u00e6rs\u00f8velser rundt om b\u00e5let og i yoga-teltet. This takes many forms: small exercises with soil improvement; making tea over the fire with freshly-collected wild herbs; creative pursuits with paint (the pigments created with nature's own ingredients). Finally the harvest festival is a special event, where the children transform the year's produce into a festive meal, which they share around the fire.<\/p>\r\n<p>When we work to create a connection between children and nature, it happens, for example, through small presence exercises in the forest, when they lie down in the field and listen to the lark, or when they are busy observing the sprouts that emerge from the ground. Some activities require facilitation from the teachers, while others happen when the child is given the opportunity to explore on his own during the breaks that occur. The intention in creating this relationship is partly that we believe that experiencing nature as a free space and a safe place awakens joy in life and increases well-being, and partly to awaken a care for nature, which strengthens the child's inner motivation to take good care the nature.<\/p>\r\n<h2>\r\n\t\tInner nature\r\n\t<\/h2>\r\n\t<p>The intention of working with the child's inner nature is to create a strong foundation for well-being. Both well-being through the child's own inner joy and peace, and well-being through the building of caring relationships and class communities. Through games and exercises with inspiration from yoga, mindfulness and meditation, the students in small groups are guided by the farm's yoga instructor. They learn to focus on their own breathing and the body's feelings, or to sit around the fire in the forest and simply be quietly present. Through the presence training, a trusting community is created among the students. They practise simple massage with each other, play through relationship exercises and learn to be unaffected by each other's presence. The starting point for the teaching is always play and movement in deep respect for the individual's abilities and limitations.<\/p>\r\n<h2>\r\n\t\tPlant et Fr\u00f8 &#8211; \u00e5ret rundt\r\n\t<\/h2>\r\n\t<p>Elevernes arbejde f\u00f8lger et \u00e5rshjul, der starter i april og slutter i oktober. Eleverne m\u00e6rker hvad det vil sige at arbejde i naturen p\u00e5 forskellige \u00e5rstider og opdager de naturlige forandringsprocesser p\u00e5 egen krop. Et fast element i undervisningen er fort\u00e6llinger om &#8220;Naturen i dag&#8221;, der retter blikket mod hvad sker i det store \u00f8kosystem og hvordan vi bedst kan samarbejde med og drage omsorg for naturen. Intentionen er, at vi ved at rette en nysgerrig opm\u00e6rksomhed mod hvad der sker lige omkring os, vil lejre sig som en forst\u00e5else af, hvor forbundne vi er med naturen. Betydningen af \u00e5rstidernes vekslen understreges ved fejring af overgange fra en \u00e5rstid til en anden. Med en sommerfest inden sommerferien og en h\u00f8stfest, der markerer afslutningen p\u00e5 forl\u00f8bet.<\/p>\r\n<h2>\r\n\t\tThe STEM subjects\r\n\t<\/h2>\r\n\t<h6><strong>Work with the STEM subjects is a natural and integrated element in Plant a Seed.<\/strong><\/h6>\r\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xn--plantetfr-t8a.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Plant-et-fro-Skarhoj-06172-1024x691.jpg\" alt=\"Plant et fr\u00f8-Sk\u00e5rh\u00f8j-06172\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"691\" width=\"1024\" title=\"Plant a seed-Sk\u00e5rh\u00f8j-06172\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\r\n\t<p>It is the students' science and engineering lessons that are used during the weekly 3-hour visit. On the farm, the theory learned in the classroom is supplemented with practical experience and testing. Here the students work with science when they have to understand what is needed to make a plant sprout, grow and mature. Further understanding is acheived about soil and micro-life through experiments with soil samples. The students also examine dead animals and make woodlouse traps.<\/p>\r\n<p>Eleverne arbejder med Teknologi og Engineering, n\u00e5r de laver udtr\u00e6k af plantestoffer og bruger dem til farvning af snore. Og de bruger Matematik, n\u00e5r de skal m\u00e5le op til &#8220;markerne&#8221; i haverne, n\u00e5r de skal beregne diagonall\u00e6ngder p\u00e5 en kuperet mark, og n\u00e5r de skal beregne hvor mange fr\u00f8 der kan s\u00e6ttes p\u00e5 et givet areal med en bestemt afstand mellem fr\u00f8ene.<\/p>\r\n<p>In Plant a Seed, the STEM subjects are not studied in isolation. A very central point is that the STEM subjects become really strong when they are used in a larger context with subjects and insights from both the humanities and social sciences. Ideen er at integrere verdensm\u00e5lene med afs\u00e6t i det lokale, virkelighedsn\u00e6re og konkrete. Det kan bl.a. ske, n\u00e5r eleverne l\u00e6gger et gulerodsfr\u00f8 i jorden, passer det, h\u00f8ster det og spiser det til h\u00f8stfestens suppe. Her m\u00e6rker eleverne, hvordan det at dyrke afgr\u00f8der er t\u00e6t knyttet til \u00e5rstider og betingelser for at gro.
